Creating the 5 Book Graphics Your Pre-Release Needs

Creating the 5 Book Graphics Your Pre-Release Needs

Can you create the 5 book graphics your pre-release needs in 10 minutes? Is that even possible? I challenged myself to hit this impossible task… let’s see how I did!

First, let’s look at what those five pre-release graphics are.

  1. A Coming Soon Graphic - this graphic typically includes the release date, author name and the book cover.

  2. A Cover Reveal Graphic - this graphic teases the reader that a cover reveal is coming, and can be used to encourage signups for the cover reveal.

  3. A Teaser - Teasers normally include a short line from the book, tagline or a review quote.

  4. A Countdown Graphic - These graphics help to build momentum - each graphic has a “5 days until” or “3 days left” countdown text and typically includes the cover and indicates if there is a preorder available.

  5. Mockups for Promo - These images include your book on a tablet or paperback and typically don’t have any text on the image.

There are a variety of tools that you can use to create your graphics, but my favorite is Book Brush. In 9 minutes, I created an entire collection of 14 pre-release promo graphics, including these:
